Uncover Your Joy - What do you want?
Today’s post comes a bit later than I wanted it to, but the pre-Christmas fever has caught up with me Image may be NSFW.

Even though the title of this article addresses a very general and broad topic, I want to narrow it down to the next two weeks. Why? Well, the Christmas celebrations are getting really close and then we’ll have New Year’s celebrations as well. During that time a lot of us find the time to look back at the year that’s ending and see how we did – how many things we managed to accomplish and how many are left not done Image may be NSFW.

What do you want?

I’m asking you first – what do you want from the next two weeks – the last days of this year, which are so often filled with activities that make up our tradition, but are not always a reflection of what we do want, what our Soul wants and what our Body needs. So, planning this year’s Christmas (if you celebrate them that is or however you call them) or New Year’s – I encourage you to, in all your ideas and plans, include not only the needs of others, but also, and maybe especially, your own!

It’s so easy to get sucked into all the Christmas preparations, often for the sake of tradition or wanting to please others… It’s not that easy to achieve the feelings of joy and happiness or peace of mind. So, take some time to think – what is it that you (yes, you!) want to experience and how do you want to feel in the next couple of weeks. And if you love Holidays, go, get crazy, embrace this time of year Image may be NSFW.

But if you don’t, make sure to acknowledge that and leave space for your needs, too.

It’s obvious that we all have different needs, right? Some of us love Christmas, others totally don’t feel it, others love the shopping fever that is everywhere this time of year, others still can’t wait for their New Year’s party, and some wait impatiently to wrap themselves up in a warm blanket with a cup of hot choco and to welcome New Year with a good book in hand Image may be NSFW.

Whatever needs you have – make sure to reserve at least some time and space for your needs, your vision and your wants. That’ll make for a much better last two weeks of the year Image may be NSFW.

What do you want?

Now, if you want to spend some time looking back at 2014 – that’s great. I know I’ll spend at least a couple of days doing that myself. However, I want to point out and encourage you to focus not on the things that were, but on the things that are coming – your plans, ideas and vision for the next year, meaning for 2015 Image may be NSFW.

Paying attention to things that didn’t work out in our plans in the last twelve months is important, but from my perspective, it is much more crucial to focus your efforts and energy on preparing for the new year!

What would you like to do, accomplish, achieve, experience, feel in 2015?
Who’d you like to meet, where and with whom would you like to spend time, what would you like to learn?
What would make this year the best possible so far?
What can you do to make it so?

All those questions go back to this one – what do you want in 2015?
If you find the answer to that question, which of course may and will evolve and change throughout the year – it’s a great idea to write it all down, maybe even create a simple, basic plan of action, to make it easier to bring all those things to your life. It’ll be easier to focus on the things that matter to you, especially when we get back to a bit less chaotic (more normal) schedules in the beginning of January. Plus, you’ll have your first few steps mapped out and ready to go Image may be NSFW.

And, as an added bonus, you’ll enter new year with a better attitude, with a mindset directed towards what you want, which in itself might help you achieving the success you want!

So, grab a pen and paper and write down your answers to that simple question! Let’s start planning for the fabulous 2015 already! Image may be NSFW.
